thanks! it's a bit daunting compiled in one place like this, but i am pushing myself to do art, since completing a painting is a tangible thing that makes me feel a lot better with everything else going on just now

oh, i feel that. there's something about being able to physically touch a thing and go "i made that! :D" that just...helps.

yes! early on in 'these trying times' there were all these articles going around about how to cope with the isolation and disruption, and most of the advice is very similar to articles i have read in the past about functioning with depression: maintain your sleep schedule, change out of your pjs every morning, brush your teeth, etc. but they also almost all suggested doing something that has tangible outcomes, and i think that it really does help - both with the isolation / disruption and my standard depression. as someone, somewhere, once said: it's hard to think the world is too awful when you've just knit a hat (to paraphrase).

heck, i think we read the same thing! i was actually thinking of the "it's hard to be sad when you've just knit a hat" when you mentioned liking how you can touch the art you make.

entirely possible! i've been debating with myself whether there were really that many articles going around, or just the same three being circulated endlessly at the speed of light. i don't know haw many times my mother, my sister, and i passed back and forth the same few articles about which fabrics would work best for homemade face masks.

it be like that sometimes. on the other hand, i find it kind of sweet when you end up sharing the same thing rapidly with other people? like a rapid-fire "here i found a thing you might like"

i am firmly of the belief that sharing links is a form of expressing love for those for whom gifting/sharing is their love language

yeah, i'm really excited about that one! i hope there's good participation
