The chems crept up on Obi-Wan, making him a bit warm at first, then a bit loose-limbed, almost but not quite sleepy. He smiled slightly, recognizing the symptoms. He could easily purge the chems from his system, but it had been a while since they’d played like this, and they’d all been working so hard, rebuilding since the end of the war.

The knot in Obi-Wan's chest eased as the Force moved between them, carrying Mace's regard and gentle regret, and beneath it, Mace's well hidden desire. Obi-Wan unshuttered his own mind at that, letting Mace feel his lingering hesitance but also his long-time appreciation of Mace as both a Jedi and a man.

"Hello, my dear Obi-Wan," the voice said almost fondly, the droid's photoreceptors blinking as they scanned him. "This is TX-78. They'll be helping you fulfill your part of my mission."

After Ben had brought them Luke, Beru couldn't help but think about a child of her own, despite knowing that Owen was infertile. She'd thought she had accepted that she'd never be a mother, and she perhaps would have been satisfied without the responsibilities of raising a child. But now that she had a child in Luke, she couldn't help but want another, a playmate for him to grow with.

“You may have succeeded in capturing me, bounty hunter, but I won’t betray my vows,” Obi-Wan said firmly, setting the tone of the scene.

“Like that, is it Jedi?” The bounty hunter asked, voice flattened by their vocoder. “You’ll find I have ways of getting what I want, even from a stubborn Jedi like you.”

Obi-Wan bit back a smile, accepting the challenge.

Order 66 goes different, and Obi-Wan, wanting to give Cody and the troops one less worry, is happy to let Cody take command.

It was finally demobilization day, and the entirety of the GAR was being disbanded. They'd been on stand down for months, as the armistice went into effect on world after world. Today, the brave troopers would all be recognized for their effort, then dismissed from military service with full honours.
