Summary:
"Is there a reason you keep running back to the library?" Luminara asked, tapping her stylus against her tattooed chin as she watched her friend. Quinlan shifted, dark eyes darting away.
Luminara looked up as Quin flopped back down in his seat on the other side of the table. He stacked a few more datapads in his pile, and Luminara drew her eyebrows together, then assessed Quinlan more closely. His eyes were gleaming, the energy bubbling around him had a slightly different flavour than usual, and he definitely didn't need additional datapads to complete their math assignment.
"Is there a reason you keep running back to the library?" Luminara asked, tapping her stylus against her tattooed chin as she watched her friend. Quinlan shifted, dark eyes darting away.
"No reason," Quin said a bit too quickly. Luminara's lips twitched, and she slowly smiled as she pieced a few things together.
"Oh?" Luminara asked. "It's not because Obi-Wan's working on his persuasive rhetoric project with Siri in the study carrels?"
Quinlan opened and closed his mouth a few times, searching for an argument or a distraction. Luminara's grin grew a little wider.
"You know," Luminara said innocently, "Siri says he really enjoys music."
Quinlan glowered across the table at her, crossing his arms over his chest. Luminara giggled softly, covering her mouth with her hand.
"Just ask him out, you goof," Luminara said fondly. "When has he ever turned down an opportunity to hang out with you?"
"That's just - he's just nice," Quinlan said, refusing to meet Luminara's eyes. She hummed her disbelief.
"He is nice. And polite. And kind. Very well spoken. Perfect manners," Luminara rattled off. She paused, and smirked across the table. "Beautiful ass." Quinlan let out a distressed noise rather like the steam boiling off a kettle, and Luminara dissolved into giggles again. "Ask. Him. Out," she enunciated clearly, punctuating each word with a little jab of her stylus toward Quinlan when she gathered herself again. The corners of her mouth curled up. "If you don't, I will."
With a gasp of sheer outrage, Quinlan launched himself across the table.
