Sabine grumbled quietly as she settled on her tall stool at one of the work benches. Introduction to three dimensional design was the last prerequisite required for her BFA before she could focus on her concentration. It felt unnecessary - like a waste of credits. She'd argued at length with her advisor that she didn't need to take the course since she was planning to concentrate on painting. She'd much rather put more studio hours in on what she actually wanted to be doing rather than sitting through the basics of sculpture.

The door clanged closed. Sabine fought not to jump the noise from the corridor cut off. The other students shuffled quietly with their supplies as the big vent fan droned.

"Alright!" said a firm but lightly accented voice, and a tall twi'lek woman strode to the front of the room. "Welcome. I'm Numa, and I'm the teaching assistant for this section of three dee design. While I mostly work with metal on my own time, this course will cover the basics of working with ceramics, wood, metal and other dimensional media. Today we'll be starting with the syllabus overview and also woodshop safety."
