al jazeera english's coverage is amaaaaazing. like, bbc/old school cnn level, in my humble opinion. seriously, check it out.
general coverage (articles and images) on al jazeera english
live stream on the al jazeera english website
and an article about how people are getting online after the government has cut the internet

this one stepped off when a man my age immolated himself in protest? scary. i'm also going to al jazeera english for info on this, because i didn't know about it via western media at all, only found out about it because i've been on al jazeera english's website to find out more about the egypt situation.
general coverage (articles) from al jazeera english website
videos of protests in tunisia, via al jazeera english

it's a pretty interesting story overall, and i've been following it professionally for some time, as one of the registrars intent on tracking the fraudulent donor down is on the same professional d-lists as i am. he's exceptionally (and perhaps excessively) driven to catch this forger, and have him prosecuted.
the art newspaper broke the story
the ny times picked it up next
and then the financial times magazine got on it
with follow-up from the financial times magazine author in his blog
