i love so many things about obi-wan it’s hard to pick just one (also i’m indecisive like that). but one thing that sticks with me through every version of obi-wan is how he presses on even against impossible odds. he’s a guardian of the light, of hope, even when everything seems hopeless.
[image id: watercolour painting of obi-wan kenobi and commander cody from star wars: the clone wars. they’re painted from mid-thigh up, both facing slightly to the left in three-quarters profile. obi-wan, left, has his left proper hand raised to stroke his beard and a thoughtful look on his face. his right proper arm is obscured but an illuminated holotable. cody, right, has his right proper arm extended, gesturing at the holotable, but his hand is obscured. his left proper hand is behind his back and he looks very intent about whatever he’s explaining to obi-wan. the background is mottled grey, darkest in the lower right corner behind cody. /end id]
